The Trusted Spotter Network Austria

Skywarn Austria, the European Severe Storms Laboratory ESSL, and the Austrian Weather Service ZAMG established the Trusted Spotter Network Austria in 2009 as a network for weather enthusiasts. As part of this initiative, GeoSphere Austria (formerly ZAMG) offers training for voluntary weather observers as well as an extensive platform for professional exchange between weather enthusiasts and researchers. In the spirit of optimal Citizen Science, all participants contribute new knowledge about weather, extreme weather events and respective impacts to this platform.
